Conflicting reports emerged late Tuesday night regarding an alleged firing incident outside the farmhouse of Gurpartap Singh Kang, manager of renowned Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, in Gondar village, Karnal. While social media posts purportedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the act, local authorities and village representatives have termed the incident a rumour.
According to ground reports from Gondar-Dachar Road, heavy police presence, including teams from the Nissing Police Station, Special Task Force (STF), and the CIA, was observed at the site following the alert. However, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Nissing, Krishan Kumar, stated over the phone that upon reaching the spot and conducting an investigation, no evidence of firing was found. He further noted that the family members present at the farmhouse have not provided any statement or filed a formal complaint regarding the matter.

Reinforcing the police’s stance, Joga Singh, the former Sarpanch of the village, categorically denied the reports of gunfire. He stated that while the police did visit the premises for an inspection, they found nothing suspicious. According to Singh, the family members were inside and were unaware of any such incident until the authorities arrived, leading him to label the entire episode as a baseless rumour.
Despite the official denials, the incident gained significant traction due to a viral social media post. In the post, individuals identified as Tyson Bishnoi, Arzoo Bishnoi, and Harry Boxer, allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed they orchestrated the firing using “Austria-made” weapons. The post described the act as a “third warning” to Dosanjh and his management team, citing allegations of misconduct during an international tour. The gang threatened further consequences if their “warnings” were not heeded.
While sources initially suggested the recovery of two shell casings and bullet marks on a wall, the police have not confirmed these findings to the media. Officials maintained that while they are investigating all angles, including the authenticity of the social media threats, no shooting has been verified on the ground. Security in the vicinity of the farmhouse remains tight as a precautionary measure while the investigation continues.
